Project Description
The multi-phase redevelopment of an approximately 7-acre site. Wellroot Family Services, an agency of The United Methodist Church in North Georgia, provides faith-centered, trauma-informed care for children and young adults in Georgia’s foster care system. The Canopy Project transforms the former Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church site into a safe, stable environment. The scope includes approximately 92,000 square feet of multi-service space encompassing a Training & Service Hub, Office & Counseling Hub, Youth Hub & Family Housing (five 4-bedroom suites and 12 two-and-three-bedroom units), Resource Center, and outdoor spaces including a preserved lawn, learning gardens, playground, and outdoor amphitheater.
